Spring is coming.
And with that comes the unofficial start to the LSU football season.
Just more than a month after National Signing Day wraps up, the 2016 Tigers will hit the ground running for spring practices, which are set to get underway on Monday, March 7, the athletic department announced on Wednesday.
LSU returns 18 starters on offense and defense, and the team’s five early enrollees — cornerback Saivion Smith, running back Devin White, wide receivers Dee Anderson and Stephen Sullivan and linebacker Michael Divinity — will be eligible to practice with the team.
The Tigers will practice 15 times throughout the spring before ending the season with the annual spring game.
LSU’s 12th spring game under coach Les Miles is scheduled to take place at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 16.
Sandwiched in between the start of spring practice and the game will be LSU’s Pro Day on March 14.
