LSU football introduced new offensive coordinator Matt Canada on Wednesday, and the Tigers went ahead and made the pun everyone has been thinking since they made the hire.
Canada, who came from Pitt, will now coach LSU’s “O.” LSU saw the opportunity for a Canadian national anthem joke and just leaned into it.
The official LSU Football Twitter account tweeted out the picture during Canada’s introductory press conference.
LSU defensive coordinator Dave Aranda also got a billboard, but his wasn’t anywhere near as funny.

It wasn’t the only humorous moment from Canada’s introduction. He was also quick to remind everyone that he’s 1-0 against Alabama as an offensive coordinator.
That one win came when he was on staff at Northern Illinois back in 2003, before the Crimson Tide had Nick Saban. But it still counts.
LSU plays Louisville in the Citrus Bowl on Dec. 31. Canada will join the staff after bowl season.
