LSU football is the No. 1 topic of discussion every day on SEC Country’s One Team, One Podcast. Host Carter ‘The Power” Bryant is joined in this episode by Mississippi State color commentator Matt Wyatt. The two discuss how it’s too early to fully evaluate Danny Etling and Nick Fitzgerald’s quarterbacking development, why the Bulldogs defense is underrated, if the city of Starkville is worth the trip for Tiger fans and why leaving a toothbrush at a lover’s house is a good thing.
Danny Etling versus Nick Fitzgerald
The quarterbacks in this matchup of both started 2017 off hot, but in different ways.
Etling has been efficient for the Tigers, as he has yet to throw an interception. Fitzgerald has led a Bulldogs offense averaging over 50 points per game.
Wyatt cautions fans of both signal callers, citing how both have been able to avoid taking vicious hits thus far this season.
Arden Key versus MSU offensive line
Wyatt says Bulldog fans should be worried about LSU outside linebacker Arden Key going up against Mississippi State’s offensive line. He also says MSU defensive tackle Jeffrey Simmons and the speedy Bulldogs defense will give the Tigers fits.
Starkville’s Bulldog Bash
One of Mississippi State’s biggest events of the year is Bulldog Bash, which is being headlined by DNCE on Friday night. Wyatt and Bryant discuss if they are hip enough for this event and if leaving a toothbrush at a lover’s place is a sign of good things to come.
