LSU football is the No. 1 topic of discussion every day on SEC Country’s One Team, One Podcast. Host Carter ‘The Power” Bryant is joined again by ESPN and The Athletic college football analyst Tom Luginbill to get his prediction for LSU versus Ole Miss, what has impressed him the most about Ed Orgeron’s turnaround, the weaknesses of both the Tigers and the Rebels and if there is the possibility of a letdown on Saturday after two consecutive emotional wins.
ESPN’s Tom Luginbill on LSU versus Ole Miss
Luginbill’s first appearance on the show drew some ire. He emphasized the importance of Orgeron giving full autonomy to offensive coordinator Matt Canada and defensive coordinator Dave Aranda when it comes to game-planning and play-calling.
LSU lost to Troy when Orgeron inserted himself into the offensive scheming. Since that error, the Tigers have won two consecutive games against SEC competition. Luginbill says if he stays out of the way from this point forward, the Tigers will be fine.
Luginbill also broke down the intricacies of LSU’s matchup against Ole Miss on Saturday. He believes the Tigers will win with superior line play and an amazing group of defensive backs to stalemate the talented Rebels receivers.
Derrius Guice’s status
Bryant believes a massive wild card on Saturday could be Guice, who Orgeron said is as healthy as he has been all season. There must be a game he eventually breaks out.
Bryant apologizes for missing his first lock of the week pick on the season. He tries to make amends for this upcoming weekend. For more betting, check out the Wizard of Odds Chris Smith every Thursday night at 9 pm ET on SEC Country’s main Facebook page. Click here for this week’s episode.
