LSU football is the No. 1 topic of discussion every day on SEC Country’s One Team, One Podcast. Host Carter ‘The Power” Bryant lays out why Ole Miss’ mediocrity should not discount the Tigers magnificent performance against the Rebels. Bryant is also joined by SEC Country’s Alex Hickey to discuss his journey to Oxford, what coach Ed Orgeron said after the game and what is next for the Tigers heading into the bye week.
Ole Miss sucks
LSU hammered the Rebels on Saturday. The box score was a piece of artwork, as the Tigers out-gained Ole Miss by 250 yards and had the ball for 15 more minutes.
Bryant admits LSU fans are right when they yell “Ole Miss sucks”. The Rebels are not a great football team. However, the Tigers have played eight consecutive weeks of football. To handle any SEC opposition on the road is an impressive feat.
Ed Orgeron’s postgame
Hickey explained to Bryant that Orgeron kept his emotions about beating his former team to himself in the press conference. He says fans should appreciate that about their head coach.
LSU running back Derrius Guice and Arden Key both played their best games of the season. Hickey wrote about Guice and Key’s incredible performances and shared why the Tigers are a different force with both of their stars healthy.
Magnolia Bowl trophy is trash
Bryant thinks the Magnolia Bowl trophy is the ugliest in all of sports. He believes he could pick up a branch outside and it have as much glamour as that chunk of wood bought half off from a pawn shop.
