LSU football is the No. 1 topic of discussion every day on SEC Country’s One Team, One Podcast. Host Carter ‘The Power” Bryant shares why it is sad the Battle for the Golden Boot rivalry was never really accepted by LSU or its fans. Also, he chats about the upcoming matchup between the Tigers and Arkansas, why the Razorbacks will get blown out and his upcoming SEC pics for the weekend.
Golden Boot rivalry is now sad
Bryant explains the simple truth that Arkansas fans care far more about the Battle for the Golden Boot than LSU. The game was traditionally played on Thanksgiving weekend, but the Tigers pushed for the Razorbacks to be replaced by Texas A&M. Arkansas now plays Missouri.
Though the last three games have been blown outs, the decade prior produced some of the most thrilling games in college football. Bryant also shares how much the games mean to those in North Louisiana and South Arkansas.
LSU should hammer Arkansas
Bryant believes the Razorbacks will be motivated to play, as their roster is packed with Louisiana natives. However, Arkansas is last in sacks allowed in the SEC and has given up 259 yards per game on the ground against conference opposition. LSU has fantastic pass pass rush with Arden Key and a tremendous running game with Darrel Williams and Derrius Guice.
Bryant lost with his lock of the week pick for only the second time last week. He doesn’t like that and wants to make you rich. Click here to watch this week’s Wizard of Odds with host Christopher Smith to see which plays he likes in a loaded SEC slate.
