LSU football is the No. 1 topic of discussion every day on SEC Country’s One Team, One Podcast. Host Carter ‘The Power” Bryant shares why 2018 prospect Pooka Williams is the most dynamic touchdown threat in Louisiana. Also, SEC Country recruiting ace Sam Spiegelman discusses LSU’s pursuit of Williams, what he is learning about Ed Orgeron’s in-home visits and how Texas A&M poses a real threat for 5-star receiver Terrace Marshall.
Will Pooka Williams eventually be a Tiger?
Anthony Williams, better known as “Pooka”, has Trindon Holliday potential. The Hahnville High School speed demon rushed for 212 yards and had a 99-yard kickoff return against Acadiana in a 43-42 overtime win the Louisiana state semifinals. He accumulated over 900 yards rushing in the three playoff games.
Spiegelman discussed with Bryant about Williams issues with eligibility. Also, he is a Kansas commit and looks to remain loyal to the Jayhawks. But still, both Bryant and Spiegelman believe LSU still has a shot to eventually get him in purple and gold at the college level.
In-home visits and the coaching carousel
Spiegelman has been a hawk when it comes to keeping up with the LSU coaching staff’s in-home visits. Spiegs also discusses the impact offseason coaching carousel has affected LSU prospects, including an interesting tidbit on how Marshall could be heading to College Station.
The Tigers also lost a commitment from Georgia defensive lineman prospect Ja-Quan Griffin. Spiegelman shares why that is no huge surprise.
Fact of the Day
Bryant yesterday uncovered a new mental cardio workout that burns calories. Today, he dives into the weirdness of the heart and the blood inside of it.
