LSU football is the No. 1 topic of discussion every day on SEC Country’s One Team, One Podcast. Host Carter ‘The Power” Bryant chats about the possibility of no quarterbacks committing to the Tigers in the 2018 class. Also, SEC Country recruiting ace Sam Spiegelman hops on the show to chat about how the recruiting landscape will change with the early signing period beginning next Wednesday, a bold prediction with Pooka Williams and what to expect from elite uncomitted prospects Anthony Cook and Devonta Jason.
LSU could miss out on quarterbacks in 2018 class
LSU’s quarterbacking woes have been legendary. They will likely continue in recruiting as the Tigers may end up empty-handed in the 2018 recruiting cycle.
Spiegelman believes 4-star quarterback and TCU commit Justin Rogers out of the Parkway High School in Shreveport, La. will remain loyal to the Horned Frogs. Rogers could be swayed if his teammate 5-star receiver Terrace Marshall signs with LSU, but that will likely be futile.
Spiegelman goes into detail about other quarterback possibilities, including James Foster and Gerry Bohanan.
Pooka Williams will be a Tiger
Spiegelman discusses the LHSAA state championship games in New Orleans and the amazing play of Williams, who is currently a Kansas commit. However, Spiegs believes he will flip to LSU. Also, he and Bryant both believe the speedster was robbed of the Gatorade Player of the Year in Louisiana in favor of West Monroe’s Slade Bolden.
