BATON ROUGE, La. — Freshman offensive lineman Donavaughn Campbell, who was suspended indefinitely last week, returned to the practice field during LSU’s open practice period Tuesday afternoon.
Campbell was suspended after being arrested for battery in Atlanta during LSU’s bye week. Campbell was immediately announced to be suspended when the news broke last Tuesday, which was confirmed by LSU spokesperson Michael Bonnette.
The 6-foot-4 Louisiana native has played in three of LSU’s games this year, mostly in mop-up duty or in the place of an injured starter. According to the 247 Sports composite rating system, Campbell was the No. 6 rated guard in the recruiting class of 2016.
