LSU suffered another loss to an already depleted offensive line.
Starting guard Maea Teuhema has been suspended from the LSU football team indefinitely after a violation of team rules, coach Ed Orgeron announced on Wednesday.
The junior offensive lineman had yet to participate in any of the Tigers’ fall camp practices, which began on Monday. It’s a huge hit to an LSU offensive line already breaking in a new starter at center and left guard.
Teuhema is one of the more experienced returners along the LSU offensive line. The junior has 21 games started under his belt during his first two seasons in Baton Rouge.
Orgeron indicated that Donavaughn Campbell and Lloyd Cushenberry III were competing at right guard earlier in the week in Teuhema’s absence.
Teuhema’s indefinite suspension leaves the Tigers with only 11 offensive linemen on scholarship.
