Jontre Kirklin won a state championship as a dual-threat quarterback in his junior season. Now he wants to try and help LSU win a national title.
The Class of 2017 athlete committed to LSU on Saturday following the Tigers’ “Boys From The Boot” event.
The 5-foot-11, 165-pounder from Lutcher High School (La.) also held offers from Tulane and Nicholls State.
LSU is interested in Kirklin playing cornerback or wide receiver at the college level, but regardless Kirklin had his sights set on the Tigers.
“That was just my heart. I wanna play football for LSU,” Kirkland told SEC Country.
