BATON ROUGE, La. — LSU has made its first mark in its 2019 class.
After offering a handful of 2019 prospects this weekend at its high school prospects camp, LSU extended an offer to Derek Stingley Jr., who committed on the spot.
Stingley, a 6-foot, 170-pounder out of the Dunham School (Baton Rouge, La.) caught the eye of LSU defensive backs coach Corey Raymond through Thursday and Friday’s sessions, and finally picked up the offer from coach Les Miles after Friday morning’s practice.
Stingley, a cornerback, is the first member of LSU’s 2019 recruiting class.
