LSU was listed as an early favorite in its season-opening, “neutral site” game against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wis.
5dimes Sportsbook has the Tigers opening as an 8.5-point favorite against the Badgers, according to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy. The game will technically be played at a neutral site. LSU should expect more of a road environment, however. The game will be played approximately two hours away from UW’s campus in Madison, Wis.
Despite a somewhat disappointing 9-3 campaign last season, the Tigers are loaded with returning talent and could be poised for a return to the national spotlight in 2016. The question will be whether junior quarterback Brandon Harris can take the next step and get the Tigers back to the promised land.
It may be College Football Playoff or bust for Les Miles and the Tigers, and the journey will begin in just four months at one of the most iconic football venues in the country.
