As a new coach was introduced, another is on his way out.
LSU wide receivers coach Tony Ball is leaving the team to pursue other opportunities, the team announced on Saturday.
Ball just wrapped up his first season in Baton Rouge, La., after spending the previous nine on UGA’s coaching staff.
He boasts more than three decades worth of coaching experience and has spent most of it working with wide receivers and running backs.
The news of Ball’s departure comes on the same day that LSU announced the hiring of new running backs coach Jabbar Juluke, who replaced former coach Frank Wilson.
The Tigers are now forced to find a new wide receivers coach to work with the likes of Malachi Dupre, Trey Quinn and Tyron Johnson, among others, as the offense looks to take further steps in adopting more spread principles.
