LSU will be missing one of its starters on the offensive line to begin fall camp because of injury, but it doesn’t appear to be serious.
Tigers LT Maea Teuhema has a sprained ankle and is in a walking boot, according to NOLA.com’s Jim Kleinpeter. Head coach Les Miles said the injury is not “terribly significant” though.
The injury will likely create more reps for junior K.J. Malone. Teuhema started at guard for LSU as a freshman last season. He is currently the Tigers’ best option at left tackle. LSU’s two starting offensive tackles from last season, Vadal Alexander and Jerald Hawkins, are now in the NFL.
However, Kleinpeter reported that LSU would like for redshirt freshmen Chidi Okeke and George Brown to step up so that Teuhema could slide back to guard.
