LSU announced that live tiger mascot Mike VI was transitioned to hospice care on Monday morning and would not be out in his yard.
The tiger was diagnosed with cancer in May and started undergoing radiation treatment the following month. In September the university announced that he would stay in his habitat for home games, but last week the school said the cancer had spread and gave Mike VI one to two months to live.
Mike has transitioned to hospice care and will not be out in his yard.
