One of Louisiana’s fastest-rising defensive backs can now claim an offer from LSU.
Class of 2019 cornerback Devin Bush received an offer from in the in-state Tigers on Wednesday. Over the past month, Bush secured offers from fellow SEC powers Auburn and Georgia.
At 5-foot-11, 184 pounds, Busch is a rising junior at Edna Karr High School in New Orleans.
Bush remains unranked, per the 247Sports composite rankings, but will likely be considered one of the top defensive backs in Louisiana in the 2019 recruiting cycle.
LSU’s 2019 recruiting class already includes commitments from Dunham (La.) 4-star corner Derek Stingley Jr. and Memphis 4-star corner Maurice Hampton.
Bush camped at LSU last July and has a developing relationship with defensive backs coach Corey Raymond.
Karr has been a pipeline up I-10 to Baton Rouge. The Tigers currently have a handful of Karr alums on their roster, including senior linebacker Donnie Alexander and redshirt sophomore defensive end Isaiah Washington. Class of 2017 wide receiver signee Racey McMath will enroll at the university in June.
