A new offer is out to a Class of 2018 quarterback.
James Foster, the No. 14-ranked dual-threat quarterback prospect in the current class, added an offer from LSU on Wednesday as the staff continues to utilize the off-week to evaluate prospects across the country.
Foster, a 3-star prospect from Lanier (Ala.) High School, has been committed to Missouri since April.
The Tigers are the latest to extend an offer in the way of the 6-foot-3, 210-pound Foster, who also boasts offers from Alabama, UGA, South Carolina, Mississippi State and Tennessee, among several others. The No. 12-ranked prospect from Alabama has started for his high school team since he was a freshman.
LSU does not hold a commitment from a quarterback for its 2018 recruiting class. The team’s top target, 4-star Justin Rogers, has been committed to TCU since May 31 and will officially visit LSU in November for the Texas A&M game. LSU recently hosted 4-star Arkansas quarterback Gerry Bohanon amid increased communication from the coaching staff. The Tigers are also keeping in touch with 4-star California quarterback and Texas commit Cameron Rising as well as 4-star Georgia quarterback and Kentucky commit Jarren Williams.
