There’s a notable new twist in LSU’s hunt for a quarterback.
After evaluating film from the elite high school prospect camp Thursday, the Tigers coaching staff offered Alabama dual-threat quarterback Peter Parrish, who committed on the spot.
Parrish, a 4-star prospect, is the No. 11-ranked dual-threat quarterback in the Class of 2019 and the No. 13 overall prospect from the state of Alabama. Parrish worked out in front of the coaches during the Thursday camp session.
The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Phenix City, Ala., passer hails from the same hometown as LSU recruiting coordinator Tommie Robinson. Parrish displayed a strong arm at camp with great accuracy, especially on the run.
As a junior, Parrish threw for almost 1,500 yards and 17 touchdowns compared to 4 interceptions. Additionally, he rushed for almost 700 yards and another 14 rushing scores.
Parrish is the 14th member of LSU’s 2019 recruiting class, which entered the day ranked No. 10 in the country.
