Move over Dylan Favre, there’s a new leader of the Mississippi high school quarterback brotherhood.
Class of 2017 LSU commit Myles Brennan is now atop the career passing yards list for the state of Mississippi, according to a report from 247Sports.
Brennan reportedly threw for 366 yards and five touchdowns to lead his team to victory on Friday night. In the process, he passed Favre, who is Pro Football Hall of Fame QB Brett Favre’s nephew, on the state’s list of all-time passing leaders. Brennan now has 12,801 passing yards, which is comfortablly ahead of Favre’s previous record of 12,559 with several games still remaining on the schedule.
According to the report, Brennan has thrown for 1,279 yards through four games this season. He’s the No. 17 pro-style quarterback in the 2017 recruiting class, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
