The Associated Press released its All SEC team Monday afternoon, and LSU running back Derrius Guice wasn’t thrilled with the results.
In a now-deleted Tweet, Guice called his status on the second team a “joke.”
Guice was beat out by Kentucky’s Benny Snell and Auburn’s Kerryon Johnson. Guice may not like it, but both those players had better seasons than he did both in yards from scrimmage and total touchdowns.
Guice gained 1,253 total yards and had 11 touchdowns. Johnson was 1,508 yards and 19 touchdowns while Snell managed 1,390 yards and 18 scores.
LSU is slated to play Notre Dame in the Citrus Bowl. Guice, a junior, will be eligible to depart for the NFL after this season.
