Two days after LSU head coach Les Miles told reporters junior running back Leonard Fournette was running and officially no longer wearing a protective walking boot, this image surfaced during LSU’s practice on Thursday.
While walking away, Fournette apparently quipped to reporters “I’ll be back”.
Leonard injured his ankle on Aug. 16 and missed the team’s scrimmage this past Saturday. Miles said he believed Fournette would return to practice in the foreseeable future.
Fournette rushed for 1,953 yards last season with 22 touchdowns. He also averaged 6.5 yards per carry.
