LSU RB Leonard Fournette pays tribute to Syracuse greats
LSU running back Leonard Fournette is on a path toward the Heisman Trophy. But the sophomore took some time on Friday to pay tribute to a few great tailbacks before him who played for Syracuse.
Fournette posted a picture via Twitter of a shrine to former Syracuse halfbacks Jim Brown, Ernie Davis and Floyd Little in the Carrier Dome. He thanked the trio for paving the way for future running backs.
Davis captured the Heisman in 1961. Little was a three-time All-American and Brown was one of the biggest snubs in the award’s history. Fournette is the leading candidate for the award after rushing for 228 yards and three touchdowns against Auburn last weekend.
