Prepare yourself, LSU baseball fans.
The Tigers released their baseball schedule on Wednesday, which is the equivalent of an early Christmas gift. The 2017 season will start on Feb. 17 against Air Force at Alex Box Stadium. Eight of LSU’s first nine games will be in Baton Rouge, with the lone road game a matchup against New Orleans at Maestri Field.
In addition, the Tigers will participate in the Shriners Hospital for Children College Classic in Houston from March 3-5, with games against TCU, Baylor and Texas Tech. LSU opens SEC play against Georgia on March 17 at Alex Box Stadium.
The Tigers, directed by coach Paul Mainieri, have earned five consecutive NCAA Tournament national seeds. They begin their six-week, full-squad fall practice session on Sept. 25.
Meanwhile, LSU also announced its 2017 roster, which includes a 13-man recruiting class.
