LSU running back Leonard Fournette matches school record consecutive 100-yard rushing games
The accolades for LSU sophomore running back Leonard Fournette are going to keep coming for a while.
During Saturday night’s non-conference game against Western Kentucky, Fournette went over 100 yards rushing in the third quarter for his ninth straight game exceeding the century mark, tying Charles Alexander’s high mark at LSU. Fournette, the Heisman Trophy front runner, has 119 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries as the No.5 Tigers lead 34-13 late in the third quarter.
After scoring on a 1-yard run with 5:54 left in the third quarter, Fournette has now also scored at least a touchdown in the Tigers last nine games.
