LSU’s plan of hosting multiple satellite camps across the state of Louisiana is coming to fruition.
The Tigers has scheduled a pair of satellites camps at the beginning of June, beginning in Northwest Louisiana and then soon after in New Orleans.
The first camp will be held at First Baptist Bossier’s Freedom Field in Bossier City, La., on Thursday, June 2 from noon to 4:30 p.m. CT.
Two days later, LSU will host a second camp in conjunction with the New Orleans Saints at the team’s practice facility in Metairie, La. That camp, set for Saturday, June 4, will get underway at 8 a.m. and go through 4 p.m. CT.
These two in-state satellite camps come 24 hours removed from the announcement of a camp in Houston on June 14. Aside from the state of Louisiana, Houston plays host to LSU’s most popular source of alumni.
Last week, LSU coach Les Miles confirmed that he wants to host satellite camps throughout the state, including the Northwestern portion near Shreveport, La., and have not one but two in the New Orleans area. He also mentioned working in conjunction with the Saints with an additional camp.
In other words, stay tuned for more camp announcements in the near future.
