The LSU softball team opens up postseason play with the Women’s College World Series on its mind Friday, in its home park no less.
After a slightly-unexpected run to the SEC Championship game last week, the No. 13 LSU softball team will host MAAC champion Fairfield Friday in the first round of the Baton Rouge Regional. LSU’s game will come after an anticipated in-state battle between Louisiana-Lafayette and McNeese State, the winner of which will face the winner of LSU versus Fairfield on Saturday.
