LSU was without a star linebacker and had a familiar face back in Baton Rouge, La., during Saturday’s practice.
Senior linebacker Kendell Beckwith was held out of practice after sustaining a knee injury on Friday. The injury does not appear to be serious after Beckwith’s MRI came back negative.
LSU also had a special visitor attending practice: former running backs coach and recruiting coordinator Frank Wilson. Wilson, who served at LSU for five years, is now the head coach at Texas-San Antonio.
