LSU tight end Dillon Gordon was injured on his first catch since the 2013 season.
The 300-pound tight end will miss the rest of Saturday’s game after aggravating an Achilles tendon injury he suffered earlier in the season, according to ESPN’s Holly Rowe.
Gordon made his return to the field after missing LSU’s last three games while recovering from the injury. The injury came on a relatively routine catch, but Gordon was immediately in pain after hitting the ground. The senior started in every game during the 2014 season primarily as a blocking tight end. His timetable beyond Saturday’s game is unknown.
