LSU tight end Dillon Gordon had choice words for some Tigers fans who left Saturday’s loss to Arkansas a bit early.
LSU lost 31-14 to Arkansas, its second consecutive loss this season. The Tigers were pretty much out of the game early in the first half when a couple of big plays got the Razorbacks up 21-0 in the second quarter. LSU climbed back into the game, but could never get within seven points.
Arkansas wide receiver Jared Cornelius’ 69-yard end around run for a touchdown was the final straw for most of the LSU faithful. Many started heading to the exits to beat traffic as soon as Cornelius crossed the plane.
The tight end, who is out for the rest of the season after suffering an Achilles tendon injury, called out the fans for showing a lack of loyalty to the purple and gold, but also thanked those who stuck around despite the disappointing outcome.
