We are fully into the dog days of summer, and LSU wants as many of its students as possible to enjoy the sun on campus.
So, the university and its recreation department went big and bold. They unveiled their new outdoor aquatic facilities on Twitter on Saturday.
Behold: the recently-opened @LSUUREC Leisure River.

The first thing that catches the eye is the massive LSU logo that forms the leisure river, which stretches 536 feet in length.
But one of the more subtle and awesome additions has to be on the pool deck, or rather the pool deck itself. Look a little closer, and you’ll see that the deck has “sand blasted etching of tiger stripes,” according to LSU University Recreation.
This is a win any way you slice it. And surely some of LSU’s football players are bound to ask Coach Orgeron for a team outing here during upcoming fall camp.
