It will be a matchup between Tigers and Roadrunners to open the 2020 season, as LSU has agreed to host the University of Texas-San Antonio in the programs’ first-ever meeting, per FBSchedules.com.
LSU will get familiar with teams from the Lone Star State during the ’20 season, as they host the Texas Longhorns the week after facing UTSA and then will travel to Houston to take on Rice at NRG Stadium.
For the trip to Baton Rouge, UTSA will earn $1.4 million. The Roadrunners football program has only been around since 2011, and they currently compete in Conference USA. It will mark the the third game between UTSA and an SEC team: the Roadrunners played at Texas A&M in 2016, and will face the Aggies again in 2019.
