Drake Davis signed his letter of intent with LSU to be a part of its new-look wide receiving corps, but the Tigers may want to toy with the notion of letting him onto the hardwood as well.
The four-star wide receiver signee took to Instagram on Tuesday afternoon to post a short highlight reel of his best dunks in the IMG Academy gym.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Baton Rouge, La., showed off his quick hands and impressive ups, which should have Tigers fans chomping at the bit to see him suit up for fall camp and see what kind of spark he can provide in LSU’s passing game.
Davis, a four-star wide receiver, prepped at The Dunham School (Baton Rouge, La.), where he was a multi-sport athlete. He played football, basketball and soccer during his high school career before ultimately choosing football as his No. 1 sport.
Davis may ultimately get a chance to play for LSU’s basketball team when he arrives on campus this summer. He played AAU basketball with Johnny Jones’ son, so there is certainly a relationship between the player and coach to keep an eye on.
Until then, Davis is expected to be a welcomed addition to LSU’s wide receiving corps. His flashy dunks on the hardwood should have Tigers fans looking forward to what kind of target he’ll be for Brandon Harris next season.
