It has been merely three days since Donavaughn Campbell was on the LSU campus meeting with the coaching staff for an official visit.
But before Campbell heads off to Tuscaloosa, Ala., for an official visit with the Crimson Tide this weekend, he received a bit of a surprise.
Coach Les Miles and defensive line coach Ed Orgeron made a stop in Ponchatoula, La., to see the nation’s No. 5 guard.
“What a time to be a LSU Tiger,” Campbell wrote, along with a photo of the two LSU coaches alongside him and a member of his family.
A four-star prospect, Campbell will visit Alabama this weekend and Georgia Tech on Jan. 30.
Both the Crimson Tide and Yellow Jackets have major ground to make up since Campbell has been committed to LSU for more than a year, and just solidified that commitment with a successful visit to the campus over the weekend.
“It was great,” Campbell told SEC Country. “I loved everything.”
