Another wide receiver is on his way to Baton Rouge.
LSU commit Mannie Netherly signed his financial aid agreement with LSU on Tuesday, his coach told SEC Country.
Netherly, a 4-star wide receiver from Crosby (Texas) High School, is an early enrollee and will be on LSU’s campus on Jan. 9.
The 6-foot-2, 183-pounder officially visited LSU on Dec. 9, then promptly shut down his recruitment midway through the NCAA’s Contact Period. Texas was also making a push for Crosby, the No. 36-ranked wide receiver in the Class of 2017.
Netherly is LSU’s lone wide receiver commit in this recruiting cycle — as of now. He will enroll early along with fellow Texas commits Austin Deculus and Edward Ingram, as well as safeties JaCoby Stevens and Grant Delpit.
