LSU wide receivers coach and New Orleans area recruiter is spending his Thursday in the city checking in on an elite 2019 target and going in-home with a 2018 target.
Joseph spent the early part of the day in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome watching 4-star Kentwood wide receiver Trey Palmer. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound Palmer has had LSU at the top of his list for much of his recruitment along with Alabama and Texas A&M.
Palmer was injured in the Class 1A state championship game.
On Thursday night, Joseph will go in-home with 4-star wide receiver Devonta Jason. This is the second time Joseph will go in-home with Jason in as many weeks, as LSU continues to monitor the 6-foot-3, 215-pound prospect ahead of a Dec. 20 signing date. Joseph is attempting to lure Jason on campus for an official visit. He is expected to head to Mississippi State this weekend.
Ed Orgeron will not be joining Joseph in New Orleans. LSU’s coach is in New York checking in on top junior college offensive tackle Badara Traore. Orgeron will likely save his in-home visit with Jason for sometime next week before the Dec. 15 dead period.
