Myles Brennan will be in Baton Rouge in due time.
Well, officially the 4-star pro-style quarterback will enroll this summer. But first, LSU’s quarterback commit will officially visit on Jan. 13-15, the first weekend once the NCAA’s Contact Period resumes.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Under Armour All-American from St. Stanislaus (Miss.) High School will be one of several high-profile commits expected in Baton Rouge next weekend. Along with Brennan, Tyler Shelvin, Kary Vincent Jr., Edward Ingram, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and Tory Carter will be on hand. As will some blue-chip targets such as Marvin Wilson, K’Lavon Chaisson, Phidarian Mathis, DeVonta Smith and Racey McMath.
LSU’s first round of official visitors includes several chief targets and most solid commits. Those such as Brennan can serve as recruiters for offensive targets for Smith and McMath, while Vincent and Shelvin can assume the same role with Wilson, Mathis and Chaisson, among others.
Brennan is taking advantage of the first weekend of official visits to get better acquainted with new offensive coordinator Matt Canada, who helped retain the quarterback’s pledge.
Brennan is one of two LSU quarterbacks embedded in the Tigers’ 2017 class. 4-star dual-threat prospect Lowell Narcisse enrolls at LSU next week.
