Ed Orgeron has a theme for every LSU practice.
- ‘Tell the Truth Monday’
- ‘Competition Tuesday’
- ‘No Turnover Wednesday’
- ‘No-Repeat Thursday’
- ‘Focus Friday’
“It’s something that, when I had the opportunity to do it (at USC), I believe that it works,” Orgeron said in early October. “There’s a lot of ways to skin a cat, but this is the way that I have seen work, the methods I’ve learned under some great coaches, so I always said, ‘When I get my opportunity to do it, that’s what I wanted to do, and the guys are going to enjoy it.'”
It appears to be working.
Senior reporter for Monday Morning Quarterback, Albert Breer, recently spoke to an NFL scout who spoke very highly of LSU’s practice under Orgeron.
Talked to a scout who was at LSU this week. Coach O ran 1s v. 1s. "Most spirited practice I've been to all fall. An incredible practice."
