Given the huge start to Odell Beckham, Jr.’s NFL career, it seems like a good bet that he won’t be leaving the New York Giants anytime soon. So there isn’t much harm in the 23-year-old receiver paying homage to the Big Apple with a new tattoo that covers his entire back.
Along with the New York skyline is a Statue of Liberty head and a Planet of the Apes scene near the bottom, posted with the caption “Not in the business of backstabbing.” The tattoo is a cover-up of a previous back piece that showed a tiger. Presumably it was a tribute to his time with the LSU Tigers where he won the 2013 Paul Hornung Award, which recognizes the nation’s most versatile college football player.
Beckham’s new back tattoo was the product of four days spent with a tattoo artist from Bang Bang NYC.
In his first two seasons, Beckham posted at least 1,300 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns. Only Marvin Harrison, Terrell Owens, Jerry Rice and Lance Alworth have also managed to accomplish those marks in back-to-back seasons.
