After touring through a host of SEC schools and all of the schools embedded in his top eight, Louisiana’s top-ranked tailback is planning to make a return visit back to LSU.
John Emery Jr., a 4-star running back out of Destrehan (La.) High School, will be back in Baton Rouge this weekend for the second time this spring, he told SEC Country.
The 6-foot, 195-pound prospect most recently visited Mississippi State for the spring game last Saturday. He has made previous unofficial stops at Georgia, Auburn, Florida, Michigan and Southern Cal. Emery will make it to LSU this weekend after a one-day stop in March for one of the team’s spring scrimmages, and likely head to Tennessee in May.
All eight of those schools are in Emery’s top eight, which he released earlier in the spring.
Emery, a top-70 prospect in the Class of 2019, is the No. 5-ranked back in the nation. He sits atop LSU’s running back board for this recruiting cycle.
Additionally, Emery has plans to commit either in the summertime before his senior season or wait it out until the early signing period in December.
