Patrick Peterson, Tyrann Mathieu make teammate pay for LSU-Auburn bet
Former LSU stars Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu have one mantra for their alma mater this year:
“Don’t Bet Against LSU.”
Both Arizona Cardinals defensive backs made teammate Jerraud Powers pay for going against their motto. Powers, who played for Auburn from 2005-08, was seen sporting a Leonard Fournette jersey in a picture with the two LSU defensive backs. Mathieu posted the picture from his Instagram account Friday.
All of this is a part of Peterson’s and Mathieu’s “7 Season” campaign that is gaining plenty of traction on social media. Peterson and Mathieu wore the No. 7 while at LSU. Fournette is doing a pretty good job of upholding the standard of his predecessors.
Fellow SEC players in the NFL have been warned: Don’t bet against the Tigers, or you might have to sport a No. 7 LSU jersey on social media.
