LSU announced Thursday that quarterback Anthony Jennings was granted a release to transfer from the program. On Friday, Jennings took to social media to thank the school and Tigers fans in a heartfelt note.
“I want to thank the coaches, my teammates and Tiger Nation for the great time I’ve had here,” Jennings wrote in the post. “I will always be a LSU Tiger.”

Jennings started 12 games for the Tigers in 2014, throwing for 1,611 yards and 11 touchdowns, but he was beat out by junior Brandon Harris for the starting job last season.
The senior plans to graduate from LSU in the summer. He will be eligible to play elsewhere immediately as a graduate transfer.
