Add another signature prospect to LSU’s official visitor list for the first weekend of the Contact Period.
Racey McMath, the 3-star wide receiver from Edna Karr (La.) High School, is scheduled to officially visit LSU on Jan. 13.
McMath, a 6-foot-3, 215-pounder coming off a Louisiana Class 4A state championship run, will join fellow top receiver target DeVonta Smith and blue-chip targets such as Marvin Wilson, K’Lavon Chaisson, Todd Harris and Phidarian Mathis in Baton Rouge that weekend.
Additionally, LSU commitments Tory Carter, Tyler Shelvin, Edward Ingram and Kary Vincent Jr. will be officially visiting LSU that weekend. Tennessee 3-star cornerback Cheyenne Labruzza will also be on campus that weekend.
McMath sits at the top of LSU’s wide receiver big board for the 2017 class. He has unofficially visited several times this fall after landing his offer during the June prospect camp.
Jabbar Juluke and Dameyune Craig have anchored McMath’s recruitment, and according to sources close to the receiver, is leaning toward the Tigers. That is contingent on Juluke and Craig remaining on LSU’s staff.
McMath is also considering official visits to Texas A&M, Florida, Miami and Mississippi State. Texas A&M and Mississippi State represent the biggest threats to LSU’s chances of landing McMath.
