Report: Ed Orgeron made the decision to not keep Cam Cameron, not LSU
Lost in the Les Miles news, was that LSU’s offensive coordinator Cam Cameron was also fired.
While many assumed the school made the decision to fire both Miles and Cameron, that may not be the case. According to a report by Andrew Lopez of NOLA.com, Ed Orgeron was the one who made the decision to fire Cameron.
Per Lopez, Orgeron was given the decision on whether or not to keep Cameron. Orgeron wanted to go in different direction offensively. Tight ends coach Steve Ensminger was promoted to offensive coordinator after Cameron’s dismissal.
Orgeron and the Tigers host Missouri on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
