Miami Dolphins wide receiver Jarvis Landry, who played at LSU from 2011-13, reportedly is under investigation for battery, according to Andy Slater of WINZ.
The alleged incident took place in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., earlier this year, per sources of Slater, and involved Landry’s girlfriend, who has not been cooperating with authorities.
Slater reports that a decision on any potential charges is not expected this week, and that Dolphins coach Adam Gase said the team is “aware of it” when asked about the report on Monday morning.
Landry totaled 1,809 yards and 15 touchdowns over his three seasons with the Tigers. He was drafted by Miami in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He has 3,051 yards and 13 touchdowns over the last three seasons with the Dolphins.
