If your team’s coach has an interim tag, then it’s officially jet-watching season.
That’s the sad reality for LSU fans these days, as football coach Les Miles was let go by the university on Sunday.
So, along those lines, we’re passing along a Matt Welch report from dkpittsburghsports.com that a jet with an LSU logo landed in Morgantown, W.Va., on Tuesday.
According to FlightAware.com, the Learjet 45 twin jet is registered to Air Med Services LLC in Lafayette, La. It left Lafayette early Tuesday morning and arrived just before noon.
Now, this could mean a number of things. Or anything, really.
But, of course, it also could be a clue that LSU is in pursuit of Mountaineers coach Dana Holgorsen. The West Virginia coach is 3-0 with the Mountaineers this season.
Holgorsen has been unremarkable at West Virginia, his first head coaching job, but he also directed high-powered offenses at Texas Tech, Houston and Oklahoma State.
