LSU fans who are expecting Florida State’s Jimbo Fisher to be the next coach of the Tigers, may need to think again.
Fisher intends to remain at Florida State, a source told FootballScoop.com.
The Florida State coach has made it clear that he’s happy with the university’s administration, the support he receives and has no intentions of leaving the school to accept a coaching job elsewhere, according to the Palm Beach Post‘s Tom D’Angelo.
Fisher met with Florida State president John Thrasher earlier in the week and informed him he doesn’t have to worry about him leaving Tallahassee, Fla., D’Angelo reported.
Fisher is 67-13 in six seasons with the Seminoles. He has been mentioned as a potential candidate to replace Les Miles if Saturday is in fact his final game as the Tigers’ coach.
