LSU coach Les Miles was on the hot seat entering play Saturday and his team’s 38-17 loss to Ole Miss did nothing to abate the heat. It’s likely things will feel worse once the dust settles on the Tigers’ third consecutive loss.
There is growing sentiment, however, that Miles may make it through the 2015 season, after sports radio veteran Pat Smith caught up with LSU athletic director Joe Alleva.
Miles watch continues: LSU AD Joe Alleva declines comment on Les Miles' future until after season ends.

The Tigers have fallen from grace rapidly after starting the season 7-0. Three straight losses by an average of 17.3 points per game will force anyone to question how things are going.
It’s possible Miles’ 110-32 record at LSU, or his national title and two SEC championships will keep the hounds at bay for the remaining few weeks of the season. At least that’s the current word from high up at LSU right now.
Alleva’s “no comment” is by no means definitive and a loss against Texas A&M in the regular season finale could push Miles’ job security even further into question.
