According to his Ole Miss bio, Armstrong spent the past six seasons as an assistant on the Rebels staff. In total, it was his 11th season at Ole Miss. He served five seasons as the Rebels’ coordinator of basketball operations.
Armstrong, who went to UAB, is credited with helping the development of several key Rebels guards, including Marshall Henderson.
There has yet to be an official announcement from Will Wade or the LSU staff. Wade already has Tony Benford and Greg Heiar on his staff as he prepares to move the program past the Johnny Jones era that ended following the 2016-17 season.
