LSU junior defensive tackle Christian LaCouture broke his arm during LSU’s 56-27 victory over Texas Tech in the Texas Bowl, according to The Advocate’s Ross Dellenger.
LaCouture was a starter for LSU this season and finished the season with 35 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and one sack.
The junior was flirting with the possibility of forgoing his senior season to enter the NFL Draft. He confirmed that he was one of LSU’s draft-eligible juniors who had requested a draft grade from the NFL College Advisory Committee. This injury could certainly affect his draft stock, or at least his participation in the NFL Combine, which will take place from Feb. 23-29.
